20211 This is unconfirmed.
In 1901 Kate appears, living with Thomas & Elizabeth Anne Dixon.
She is described as 'Niece'
In 1911 she is still there, but now described as 'Granddaughter'.
I believe that the latter description is more accurate.
My best guess is that she is the illegitimate daughter of one of Thomas & Elizabeth's daughters.
Best fit is Sarah Jane

20226 This person is a place holder until I can find the correct parent.

There were 2 children: Ernestine (Tina) and Joan that my mother remembers,
These children are both illegitimate.
Tina suffered from Down's Syndrome.
It is most likely that they are the daughters of either: Alice, Amy or Annie Clegg.
Annie is the most unlikely because she would only have been 12 when Tina was born.
Tina is confirmed as daughter of Alice

My mother remembers Joan as being older than Tina
This makes Joan born before 1919
Can't find a suitable match

20227 This person is a placeholder for the mother of Bertha Bland

20236 Thomas and Dorothy performed various dance routines, especially on stairs.
They were billed as Herbert La Martine and Teddie Sherry.
There are numerous entries in theatre adverts in various papers.
Sometimes Thomas is just listed withour Dorothy, at other times they had extra dancers with them.

Care must be taken not to confuse him with another performer using the same name. The 'other' Herbert La Martine was performing earlier than ours.

Information received from Barbara Wise in 2024 links them with the Carden Arms pub in Tilston, Cheshire during the 1950s - I have yet to find any documentary proof of the [DS 18/04/2024]

20238 Thomas Boulton married Agnes Simpson in May 1849. She gave her father as being John Simpson, Labourer.

In the next 4 censuses she maintained her birthplace as Kirkby, lancs.
Her age varies, especially as she gets older. The two dates that do agree make her born 1823.

Having checked the registers for Kirkby ireleth ther is only one probable match:
Bapt. 9 Mar 1824 Agnes d/o John & Agnes Simpson of Beckside - already one of my people.

After receiving data from Joan (Southward) Simpson that matched my thoughts, I made the connection so she is B 113 and S 075. 23/01/2006
