  Thomas Boulton married Agnes Simpson in May 1849. She gave her father as being John Simpson, Labourer. In the next 4 censuses she maintained her birthplace as Kirkby, lancs. Her age varies, especially as she gets older. The two dates that do agree make her born 1823. Having checked the registers for Kirkby ireleth ther is only one probable match: Bapt. 9 Mar 1824 Agnes d/o John & Agnes Simpson of Beckside - already one of my people. After receiving data from Joan (Southward) Simpson that matched my thoughts, I made the connection so she is B 113 and S 075. 23/01/2006
