  DEATH: Parish Register has note in margin: Thomas Simpson received his death from a blow which he received from William Coward, Shoemaker, at the Public House at Grizebeck - An inquest was held upon the body. Verdict - manslaughter - WW (Assume WW was initials of vicar) No copies of newspapers exist for this period, either for Ulverston or Barrow. No coroners records exist either.
