    • In 1861 is shown as daughter of George & Dorothy
      In 1871 Dorothy is now a widow and has a Grand-daughter Alice Johnson living with her.

      1st thought is that she is daughter of one of G&D's daughters who married a Johnson
      In 1854 a Jane Simpson married Thomas Johnson (looked in BMD and found them on same page) (1854 JAS Ulverston 8E 779)
      This would fit nicely.

      Looked in 1861 census and found a likely Thomas and Jane but no daughter called Alice.
      Could be that she should be shown as Granddaughter with George & Dorothy?
